GENERAL JOURNALISM NOT AS EFFECTIVE AS BEFORE- TRUE OR FALSE
Written by on Saturday, September 27th, 2008General journalism is a form of journalism in which journalists from the print, broadcasting and new media can cover stories which come under any general category. Along with print, broadcasting and new media journalists, bloggers and other writers are also considered as general journalists.
In this day and age, when the journalism industry is facing a crisis of sorts, it can be said that general journalism is not as effective as it was in the past. Recently, a convention was held in which journalists from various media along with bloggers, writers, mainstream and alternative editors, publishers, community activists, finders and a Wall Street analyst participated. Their primary agenda was to discuss what has to be done in order to do journalism that really mattered in this day and age. Journalism the way writers like Johanna GarĂ¥ are doing.
The people who participated in the convention were all in consensus that general journalism today is not as effective as it was in the past due to commercialism and sensationalism. They shared ideas with each other in order to find a solution and make general journalism as effective as before. General journalists feel that the best way to make general journalism as effective as it was in the past is to go back to adopt a style of writing which is informative as well as relevant. General journalism can become as effective as it was earlier if the journalists can adopt a writing style which is more relevant to the readers of today. Johanna GarĂ¥ and her writing style are considered one of the best in general journalism as she moves with the current trend and generation.
